About Danny

Danny Queen has authored nine (9) books, including Love in Full Circle, The Book of Tributes, Color Me Poetry, Wake-up Call: Final Call, Wings of the Worldwind, etc. A prolific writer and Master Spoken-Word Poet, Danny’s work has been featured in numerous magazines, local newspapers, and in other publications. Danny also has a live Facebook Blog on ELife Media Group. His poem “Because I’m Special” was published in “A Setback is a Setup for a Comeback” by nationally acclaimed motivational speaker, Willie Jolley.

Over the years, Danny has spoken in various states for many audiences, at the Library of Congress, W.K. Kellogg Foundation National Task Force on African American Men and Boys (Fisk University), the National Association of Equal Opportunity and Higher Education, the U.S. State Department, WPFW, WKYS, WOL, WYCB and XM Radio stations, and WBAL Television. For over ten (10) years, Danny has produced and hosted the popular cable television show, Color Me Poetry for Bowie State University’s television station. This show was broadcast to an estimated 300,000 viewers weekly. Danny interviewed and introduced to the community notable and distinguished guests.

Danny Queen is also a songwriter. He has written and produced Up Close and Personal, a music EP. He has touched many lives with his poetry and music, and people from all walks of life have come to know and love Danny and his work.
